At least one of these two fields must be completed. The Select Location... field is used when the work order is space-related. The Select Item... field is used when the work order is item-related. You can complete one or both fields.
If you select an item first, the system will complete the location associated with the item record; however, if an item has been moved temporarily, you can change the location on the work order. This does not change the location on the underlying item record.
If you select the location first, items on the selection are not filtered by the location because items may have been moved temporarily.
This is true as long as your WebTMA System Administrator has not opted to filter items by location in Client Info / Preferences. If the Filter Item by Location option is marked, selection lists are filtered by location.
When the Preference is checked, you can still select an item first, and it remains visible in the field even if you change the location.
