Ticket WO Timer

A Timer Btn_TicketTimerOff on the window starts automatically when users click Add. The Timer stops when you click Save on the WebTMA toolbar. Timers can be restarted and stopped by clicking the Start/Stop Timer link on the Action Menu in View mode only. Use this option when a ticket work order requires more research or other attention.

The Timer is identifiable as running when the background is highlighted Btn_TicketTimerOn in green. You can also move the cursor over the alarm clock icon to see a tooltip that displays the status.

Timers can only be active on one ticket at a time. If you attempt to create a new ticket or start the timer on one ticket while it is still running on another ticket, you are prompted with an alert asking if you want to stop the active timer and start a new one.

To check whether a timer is running, go to Transaction > Work Order > Show Ticket Timer for quick information about the timer and an opportunity to navigate to the record where the timer is running.

The Timer History link on the Action Menu opens a list of elapsed time spans including minutes and seconds for each occurrence when the timer ticket was started and stopped by the logged in user. If other users also work on the ticket, they will see their own timer history but will not see the times spent by others.
