Estimate & Actual Dates Subtab

Task Type – a predefined item provided in the selection list. These types cannot be modified. Options include: critical planned, summary planned, milestone and relate to MS Project task types. They are used in Gantt charting with MS Project.

Estimated Start (date/time) – fields that record the approximate date and time that the work will actually begin. If you plan to use Batch Jobs to generate Project work orders automatically, be sure to include this date.

Estimated End (date/time) – fields that record the approximate date and time that work will be completed. This field is also used in conjunction with Batch Jobs work order generation.

Actual Start (date/time) – this is the date and time that work began.

Actual End (date/time) – this is the date and time that work was completed.

The Slack and % Complete options relate to MS Project and are for information purposes only. This information has no relationship to the Status field.

Slack – record the number of days that the task can be postponed before other tasks are delayed and cause the project to fall behind schedule.

% Complete – add the percent of work complete. Do this manually as work progresses.

Task Status – a field to record the progress of this task. It can be updated as needed.

Fixed Task – a check box used to indicate that a task has a fixed start date.

Requestor – the person requesting the task.

Phone # – phone number for the requestor.

E-mail – e-mail of requestor and any other interested parties. If set up, automatic messages are sent to these addresses when the task Status changes. The WebTMA System Administrator determines the use of the auto-message feature from Organization > Repair Center > Records / Project Email Tab.

Comments Subtab

Comment – Type information related to the task for future reference in this free-form text field.

Work Order Subtab

Select Location – Click the down arrow to choose the location type, and then click the down arrow in the adjacent field to select the location.

Select Item – Click the down arrow to choose the appropriate item type, and then click the down arrow in the adjacent field to select a specific item.

Work Order Type – Select Project for the work order type. Only work orders with a Project type can be affiliated with a project.

Repair Center – the repair center related to performance of the task. This field is also used in conjunction with the Batch Job window if you use batch work order generation.

Department – select the department associated with this task.

Priority – choose the work order priority.

Task – This field specifies the task code that identifies the work that is to be performed. A selection list is available to select the desired code.

Trade – the trade that will perform the work. A selection list is available to choose the desired trade.

Contractor – an optional field provided to link the task to a contractor previously defined in WebTMA. Select the desired contractor if contractors will perform the task.

Sub-Contractor – a check box provided to indicate that the designated contractor is a sub-contractor. This is for information purposes only.

Phone – a contact number for the contractor.

Technician – designate a specific technician to perform the task.

Rate Schedule – select the applicable Rate Schedule if used.
