Export Project to MS Project

WebTMA does not support the MS Project application; however, these general steps will help you locate and import the list of tasks exported from the Tasks & Resources Tab.

When you click the Export For MS Project button on the Tasks & Resources Tab, you can save the file to your Downloads folder and then move it to a more convenient location. Note that WebTMA saves the file with an .xlsx extension.

To import the Excel file into MS Project:

1. Launch MS Project
2. Go to File/Open and change the File Type to Excel Workbook .xlsx.
3. Select the file created by the WebTMA export.
4. Click Next on the Import Wizard window.
5. Select New map and click Next.
6. Select As a new project and click Next.
7. Check the Tasks box and click Next.
8. Review the field mapping for the Task_Table worksheet and click Finish.

If you receive an alert that the start of a task is before the project starts:

1. Go to the Ribbon menu.
2. Click Project Information.

3. Change the Start date on the Project Information window for the project you imported.

4. Click OK.
