Defining project tasks is an optional function of projects. Advanced projects include project tasks to identify and define the activities involved in a large-scale project. Basic projects do not require tasks.
A single project can have multiple tasks. By setting up the tasks prior to requiring the work to be done, you can visualize each stage of the project. You can also view defined tasks for a project in a Gantt chart from Transactions > Project > Gantt.
