You can run the macros by pressing the button on each worksheet page.
If the macros are disabled on the spreadsheet, which is often the case for security reasons, go to the Excel menu and click the Excel Options button at the bottom of menu.
Next go to the Trust Center option and click the Trust Center Settings… button.
Click the Enable all macros (not recommended potentially dangerous code can run) radio button.
Finally, click OK at the bottom of this form.
Note: The buttons on the worksheets are not active if you are in the process of editing a cell. If you do not get a response when you click the button, make sure the previous cell you were editing has been saved by clicking the green check mark at the top of the worksheet or click on a blank cell.
Also, you can call the macros from the Excel Developer Tab if you have turned on this ribbon from Excel Options.
Important: WebTMA does not recommend turning on the Developer Tab, because you can edit a critical macro and destroy the complicated code behind the macro. If this occurs, start with a new copy of the Excel worksheet, which is embedded in the Capital Planning module.
Select the macro you want to run and click the Run button to start running the macro. When the Macro starts you will see the following message:
"This function will calculate the funding required to get your facilities FCI down to 7% by the year 2022. Do you wish to proceed?"
Click Yes to proceed or No to cancel the Macro and return to the spreadsheet. If you select Yes, you are asked to enter a starting amount on the Starting Amount popup.
This allows you to reach the total more quickly. If you don't know what amount to enter, start with the Cyclic Renewal Need amount, otherwise the Macro starts with 0 (zero) and takes several more minutes to complete its calculations.
The program attempts to let you know the minimum FCI value that can be entered in Cell D10. If the number entered is too low, the program displays a Condition Index Entry Error.
When the calculation has completed, the Macro displays a Calculation Completed popup message.
The Macro updates cells B7 and D9 at the same time based on its calculations.
If you run into any problems with the Macro (i.e., infinite loop — won't stop running), press the Escape key to halt the Macro.
