Path: Transactions > Work Order > WO Browse
You can close work orders in batch from the Browse list. However, if the closed work order has no labor lines, the work order is marked as Work Not Done.
On each work order closed from the WO Browse window, the Completion Date field shows the current date. However, if the work order has not been scheduled, the Work Not Done check box is marked on the work order Identity Tab in the Tasks grid.
Require Master Checks. Some conditions may prevent immediate closure of work orders without additional input. When Require all master checks to be processed before closing work order is marked in Admin > Client Info / Preferences, all checks must be completed using the Check Results link on the work order Action Menu before the work order can be closed. If the work order includes multiple tasks, an attempt to close the work order from Work Order Browse will close the tasks that do not have checks, but will not close tasks with incomplete check lists.
Require General Comment. If you attempt to close a work order where the Organization > Lookups > Work Order Type has the Require General Comment check box marked, the Close Selected popup window includes an additional field for General Comments. If the work order requires general comments, text entered in this field is appended to the technician's general comments on the Work Order / Results Tab for work orders you close from Work Order Browse.
Work Note Done. Your WebTMA system administrator can choose to include a Do not mark 'Work Not Done' option for you to select. This is not the default; however, if your organization opts to use the feature, it is possible to close specific work orders from Work Order Browse and override the Work Not Done rules if needed.
