How to Add Trades to a Work Order

By default, trades are not required to save a work order; however, many Task Types (established in Organization > Lookups) have a default trade. This is why, when you add a task to the Add Task popup window, a trade is automatically added to the window. You can delete the default trade and add a different trade or have no trade at all. As a rule, trades are added or removed at the time you add a task.

To add a trade to a work order:

  1. Open the desired work order.
  2. Click Edit on the toolbar.
  3. Double-click the desired task line.
  4. Click the Add Trade link to add more trades.
  5. Mark the check boxes of desired trades on the Add Trade popup.
  6. Click the Save button on the popup.
  7. Click the Save button on the Add Task popup.
  8. Click Save on the toolbar to save the record.
