How to Save and Use a Browse Query

Path: Transactions > Work Order > WO Browse

Many queries are used repeatedly. When you know you will use the same query numerous times, save the query and reuse it as often as needed.

  1. Select the desired criteria defined in Work Order Browse Selection Options and related topics.
  2. Click the Save Query button below the selection fields to open the Work Order Browse Query Save popup.
  3. Type a Name for your saved query. Note you can click the down arrow to see the names of other queries to avoid overwriting an existing query. This is also the way to edit a saved query.
  4. (Optional) See notes below regarding use of the two check boxes.
  5. Click the Save button on the popup window.

Check Boxes on the Browse Query Save Popup

The check boxes on this window apply to a technician log in.

Mark the Use Current Tech check box on this window and use the saved query as a MyPage selection for any technician login. If the Labor and/or Schedules check box on the Work Order Query window is checked, a mark in the Use Current Tech check box causes the query to be filtered by the technician who is logged in.

When you also mark the Use Time Spans check box, the work orders displayed for the technician login are restricted to a time span such as This Week.
