Use the Request Types window to establish a set of codes that reflect the kind of request received and its urgency.
You have the option to mark the Default Request Type check box for one of the types you establish. When you designate a Request Type record as the default, new requests created from Transactions > Requests automatically display the Default Request Type in the Request Type Desc field.
Examples: emergency request, cleanup request, service request
If you use the optional Keys module and Approval Routing, use the Key Request check box to indicate that the Request Type applies to requests for keys.
If you use the optional Custodial module, mark the Custodial Request check box to create a request type to be used with Custodial inspections. When used, you can submit work requests for specific Inspection Points if you have the Request module.
