Lookup Custodial Program

Path: Organization > Lookups > Custodial Program

The Custodial Program applies if you use the optional Custodial for Service Providers module. Enter data in this window only if you plan to use Custodial Templates.

Custodial Programs are used to group Custodial Templates. This functionality allows you to create or copy a corporate program with associated templates for use at a site level. You can also create Estimate Programs. At this Program level, you can link a program to a Building or Floor. A Program does not become valid for estimating or scheduling until you assign it to a Template with a Custodial Task and assigned shifts.

Populate this Lookup window if you plan to group Custodial Templates. Templates are used with Programs and Custodial Tasks for scheduling purposes. The combination of Templates and Custodial Tasks creates the Custodial Matrix. Custodial Programs are not required unless you use Custodial Templates.

If you want to use the Program for estimating purposes only, mark the Estimate check box. Mark the Master Program check box to use Custodial Templates as a standard. Master Programs cannot be changed by most users. If changes are needed in a particular location, the local custodial manager can clone a Master Program and modify the copy to create a local version used at a specific site.

High ranking corporate users can have the Allow to Modify Master Program check box marked on the User Management / Preferences Tab. This allows them to modify an existing Master Program and Custodial Templates associated with the Master Program. To maintain standards, this privilege is very restricted.

The Link Tab on this window lists specific locations (such as buildings or floors). Custodial Template records require a Custodial Program affiliation, and WebTMA automatically adds the Custodial Template to the Custodial Tab for all location records linked to the Custodial Program. This functionality is more efficient than having to select each location record and add Custodial information manually.

The Template Tab displays a list of Custodial Templates that use the Custodial Program. You can remove custodial templates at this program level in Edit mode by clicking the trash can icon for the desired line item or by marking all check boxes and clicking the Delete Selected button. Note that this deletes the Custodial Template record. Before you can delete the records, all Custodial Template links must be removed.
