Area Types relate to the lowest level in the WebTMA location hierarchy, usually referred to as area, room, or space. It defines the general use or function of area/structures.
The required fields are Code and Description.
Examples: mechanical closet, resident room, office space, restroom, and pumping station
If you use the optional Custodial module, you can enter CSF and other information related to cleaning the area. The CSF field is populated from the Custodial Space Type record. The Average CSF field is the average of cleanable square footage found on the all area records of the same type.
For example, if you selected an area named 'Office', the Average CSF field would reflect the total cleanable square footage of all area records of the type Office divided by the number of Office area records in your WebTMA database.
If needed, you can specify a Sub-Type from existing Subtypes added to the selection grid.
WebTMA accommodates creation of area types for use with the Custodial Management module that are not associated with a Custodial Space Type.
Mark the Custodial Routes check box to include the area type in custodial routes.
Mark the Custodial Inspections check box to include the area in a custodial inspection list.
